This past Saturday I attended the Art Show in N Muskegon. It was a last minute idea. I was fortunate to be able to get in with such short notice. It was a beautiful day, even chilly in the morning. Lots of people had a chance to see and "interact" with my art. You can tell when people walk by and see an elephant on a boat they are thinking, "What in the world...." As soon as I start to crank the smiles appear and they turn and start enjoying. It was very gratifying to see the surprise and laughter that my pieces were able to generate from the very young to the very not so young. Thank you for all the compliments. I'll have to remember to take some pictures of the interaction but I was busy most of the time answering questions and demonstrating some of the work.
I have no shows planned for the rest of the year. I will have a couple pieces at Grand Haven's Art Walk 2014. That runs from Sept 24 - Oct 12 one of which will be brand new. I am working out the mechanics and sculpture. I haven't got a title yet but it should be fun.
